Florence Chatten lives in the Hilton area of the municipality of Brighton. As a member of the Community Women’s Institute, she was curator of the branch’s Tweedsmuir History books for several years. She has written The Apple Book and contributed articles to two other history books: The Rolling Hills of Northumberland and That’s Just the Way We Were. She has three grown children.
