A Lady of Courage and Dignity

At the age of 3, Wilma was stricken with scarlet fever and it left her with impaired hearing. In spite of her handicap this spunky farm girl met the challenges of life head-on. She completed grade 10 and then worked as a nurse’s aid before her marriage.
This book tells of the joys and triumphs of life along with its sorrows and challenges. It is a series of stories and illustrates the moments that make up a life. Minor and endearing moments like the time when Wilma and the family dog played hockey with a rat are packed between these covers along with more serious subjects, the storms of life and other moments.
Wilma’s love of life and her God gave her strength to handle the many challenges that life threw her way, including the dreaded cancer.

“It is my hope that the reader will see how God brought both Wilma and myself through the many trials of life.”
