Walter Del Mar, a retired Californian, lives close to the San Bernardino Mountains for which he has great love and knowledge. He describes himself as a sailor, yachtsman, fisherman, pilot, golfer and sportsman. He is also the author of The Goldmines of Blackhawk Canyon.
Martha Owens grew up and has spent most of her adult life in Central Illinois where she was a high school teacher and a journalist.
