6 X 9 - 512 Pages
Bearers of Light Book 1
“Jim Wardroper’s
Michmash Chronicles
cover a wide sweep of history, beginning in the dying days of Roman Britain and continuing down through the centuries. Jim does more than bring the fascinating Michmash dynasty to life; he relentlessly reminds us that those who have gone before us have flourished in dark times and that the history of the church in Britain has compelling lessons of hope and encouragement to offer us today.”
- Ed Strauss
author of 20 Bible-based books and co-author of an additional 16
In his time, the author, who is currently living in Ontario, Canada, has been a sailor, civil engineer (both in water supply and in structural engineering), and a teacher, including two years as a school principal. Latterly he taught mathematics at the B.C. Institute of Technology for seventeen years and, during that same period, founded Africa Community Technical Service (ACTS), which he directed for twenty-two years. After stepping down as director of ACTS, he spent five years as an independent missionary in Uganda with his wife and two young daughters.
He has a Master’s degree in Hydrology (University of Guelph ‘66). In his time he has produced many technical reports, project proposals and position papers. This historical novel reflects his lifelong passion for Scripture, church history and wider historical events.
